Use the exact vehicle and the product application notes together. A model name by itself is rarely enough.

Start with the full vehicle identity

Confirm model year, Jeep model, trim or submodel, engine, drivetrain and body configuration. Wrangler listings may separate TJ, JK and JL generations, 2-door and 4-door models, Rubicon and non-Rubicon axles, gasoline and 4xe powertrains, or specific production dates.

Use the VIN when details are uncertain

The VIN can help resolve production splits and factory-option questions that are difficult to identify visually. Send it when a listing refers to a build date, axle configuration, engine code or factory package.

Modified Jeeps need another layer of checking

Lift kits, control arms, axle swaps, wheel offset, larger tires, aftermarket bumpers and powertrain swaps can change clearance, geometry or mounting points. A part that fits a stock Jeep may require supporting hardware or may not be compatible with a modified one.

Read beyond the product title

Review dimensions, quantity, left/right position, included hardware, required companion parts, emissions notes and installation requirements. The detailed application notes control when they are more specific than the title.

Check before installation

Compare the new component with the original and verify labels and mounting points before modifying or installing it. If something looks wrong, stop and contact support first because installation or alteration can affect return eligibility.
